ABOUT US  The Winter Youth Retreat is a nondenominational ministry administered by a council of trustees and advisors who accept responsibility for the biblical accuracy of the program.  It has been in operation more than 40 years.  If you have specific questions about the sponsoring group please feel free to contact the Directors named above.

Purpose of the WYR ministry

Recognizing and affirming the great value God places on youth, the Winter Youth Retreat exists to train young people:

• To know Jesus Christ
•  To know the foundations of truth
•  To inspire the desire to be conformed to the image of God's Son
•  To provide a Biblical perspective in facing the challenges of today's culture
  

God places tremendous value on young people and has a purpose for them.  We find articulated in 1 Timothy 4:12 that they be examples in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.  The Winter Youth Retreat is dedicated to helping young people achieve this purpose by ministering to their needs in key areas: knowledge of God and His truth, discernment of His will in their lives, personal integrity, and relationships with others.

We value:

•  The appropriate use of many methods of ministry to deliver the message of Christ
• The role of the local church in providing support as a place for young people to grow and serve
